I remember reading that years ago and feeling like she was speaking directly to me.  She captured the essence of the risk I have faced throughout my life, the risk to live fully as myself.  The “Bud” paintings came at a time in my life when I was healing from a health challenge and could only handle small canvases.  I worked in an intimate way, very close to the paintings I was creating because of their size.  Out of that came a beautiful expression of my heart, the hopes and dreams of my soul and the courage required to follow my true path.
