Dignity is not pretending nothing has changed. It is acknowledging the reality of the body and life we have now without shame, apology, or hiding — and meeting that truth with care.
There is a difference between being seen and being known. People may know the facts of our lives and still not meet the hidden places in us that learned long ago not to come forward.
