The name Bubbe comes from the Yiddish word for grandmother.

To me, it evokes the timeless image of a wise and loving presence—

someone who knows how to create warmth, safety, and welcome through the care of her hands.

That image became the spirit behind these blankets.

Each Bubbe Medicine Blanket begins with one of my original paintings.

The artwork is translated into cloth, becoming something meant to be lived with—

draped across your shoulders, pulled over you while you read or rest,

or kept close when you want comfort around you.

​

Made from 100% organic cotton double gauze and finished with silk-rayon velvet trim, each blanket carries complementary designs on both sides, allowing the colors and imagery to shift depending on how you use it.

I created them from something very simple and very human: the need to feel cared for.

​
