REMEMBERING MYSELFÂ
A Journey Through the Threads of Time
Studio Edition, Signed in the Studio
This is not a traditional book.
It cannot be reduced to a single story.
Â
Remembering Myself — A Journey Through the Threads of Time is a body of work shaped over decades—
through writing, painting, and lived experience.

It was created from within the experience itself, as it was unfolding.

This work moves the way my life did — as a weaving.
Returning, shifting not following a single line.
It opens gradually, through presence.

It is something to sit with, return to, and recognize yourself inside.
A weaving of memory, loss, lineage, and the quiet return to self.

What you're entering is not a single narrative, but a life lived and created in real time.
Fragments, images, words, and moments gathered across years—held together as one continuous body of work.

Studio Edition — Signed in the Studio

A small number of copies are available directly from my studio.

Prepared by hand in small numbers—
in the space where this work was lived, unraveled, and brought into form.

Included with each Studio Edition is a hand-created piece from the studio—
made from the same materials and process as the work itself.

Fabric, paper, thread, and stone—something that has passed through my hands.
Not decorative.
Not symbolic in a grand way.
Simply real.

A quiet reminder that remembering lives in the body—
through the hands,
the breath,
and the quiet act of listening.

This is something that meets you differently each time you return.
ANOTHER WAY INTO THE WORK

Some parts of this work are easier spoken than explained.

In the making...
Â
This began with the desire to include a piece of my process alongside the book.Â
At first, I thought I was making bookmarks—something usable, recognizable.
Something that fit what people expect to receive.

But somewhere in the process, that fell away.
I found myself doing my work the way I always do, not thinking about what it was supposed to become,
just staying with what was there in front of me.
Letting the process lead instead of the idea.

Each stitch had to be found, not planned.
The thread didn’t follow a pattern—I followed it.
There was no way to know where it would lead or how it would come together, only that I had to stay with it and keep going.

And in that, I realized I was learning, remembering, with each one I created.
I wasn’t making something for someone else.
I was doing the work for myself—something I would do whether there was anyone on the receiving end or not.

This is the way I live and create.
At a certain point, it became clear—they are not bookmarks.

They are the work itself.
Straight from my hands, from my process, from the way I move through things when I don’t try to control the outcome.
Each one is different. Uneven. A little strange. Completely its own.

I chose not to finish the back. The threads remain. Knots where they’re needed.
Nothing hidden. Nothing made to look complete.
Because this is how life actually happens.
Messy.
Unfinished.
Always in motion.

We are unfinished beings, always becoming, always evolving through what we live.
And maybe this is what remembering really is—not arriving polished and resolved,
but allowing the loose threads to lead us where we need to go without worrying
so much about how it all appears along the way.
They’re not meant to be used in the way I first imagined.
They’re meant to be held.
Reflected upon.
Returned to.
Felt.

Just like life itself.
