TEXTILES

Medicine For Your Body and Soul

These pieces arise from the same ground as my paintings and writing — lived experience.

Cloth became another language for working with what moves through a life:

texture, weight, and material holding what has been felt and lived.

This is not a product line but a body of textile art

unfolding as part of an ongoing creative practice.

They are meant to be held, wrapped around the body, and lived with over time.

Throughout these pieces I use the word “medicine” in its older sense —

something that nourishes, restores, and brings comfort to body and spirit.

THE NATURE OF THIS WORK

Soul Wraptures and other textile pieces arise slowly.

They are often one-of-a-kind or created in small, limited forms.

Some are shaped through direct collaboration;

others emerge from the same listening that guides my paintings.

Each piece carries a moment of remembering —

something lived that has found form through cloth.

THE ROLE OF THESE  PIECES

These works are not decorative objects.

They are part of my creative practice in the same way my paintings and writing are.

Each piece is shaped slowly and with attention,

with the intention that it will be lived with rather than simply displayed.

They are meant to be used — held, worn, rested with, leaned into —

becoming part of the atmosphere of a space and the life of the person who receives them.

Cloth remembers what hands have always known.

HOW THE WORK TAKES FORM

SOUL WRAPTURES

These pieces were never meant to be separate from the body.

They are worn. Held. Lived with.

Created from the same images and moments that moved through my painting, they became something I could wrap around myself — something that could be felt, not just seen.

A kind of cocooning.

BUBBE MEDICINE PILLOWS

These pieces carry something older.

Threads of lineage. Memory.

The quiet continuity of being held.

They are not decorative.

They are meant to be lived with —

to rest against, to soften into, to return to.

BUBBE MEDICINE BLANKETS
IMG_0873 (1)_edited.jpg

These blankets were created for comfort in its simplest form.

Soft. Worn. Close to the body.

They carry something quiet — threads of lineage, memory, and the feeling of being held.

Not as an idea, but as something you can return to.

SPIRIT MEDICINE PILLOWS

These pieces hold a different kind of presence.

More raw. More elemental.

Linen, frayed edges, and the quiet imprint of the natural world.

They carry the same thread of remembering —
just closer to the earth.

THE WORK CONTINUES IN OTHER FORMS

These pieces are meant to be lived with—
