TEXTILES

Medicine For Your Body and Soul

These pieces arise from the same ground as my paintings and writing: lived experience.

Cloth became another language for working with what moves through a life,

with texture, weight, softness, image, and material carrying what has been felt and lived.

These pieces are living art.

They are not made to remain separate from life or sit untouched as precious objects.

They are meant to be held, wrapped around the body, slept with,

leaned into, carried from room to room, and lived with over time.

This work is rooted in the art of being held.

THE NATURE OF THIS WORK

Soul Wraptures and other textile pieces arise slowly.

Many are one-of-a-kind or created in small, limited forms.

Some are shaped through direct collaboration;

others emerge through the same listening that guides my paintings and writing.

Each piece carries a moment of remembering, something lived that has found form through cloth.

The imagery, materials, and making all matter,

but the piece is not complete until it enters relationship with the person who lives with it.

THE ROLE OF THESE  PIECES

These works are meant to be used.

They are held, worn, rested with, curled beneath, wrapped around the shoulders,

kept beside a favorite chair, or placed at the foot of the bed.

They become part of the atmosphere of a space and part of the daily rituals of the person who receives them.

They offer comfort without asking the body to explain why it needs comfort.

They create a place to land, a soft layer between yourself and the world,

and a way to carry beauty into ordinary life.

THE ART OF BEING HELD

These pieces are rooted in the simple, essential human need to feel held, comforted, and supported.

This deeper reflection speaks to the heart of the work and the experience these pieces are created to offer.

MATERIALS CHOSEN BY THE BODY

The materials are chosen for how they feel, move, drape, and live over time.

I look for fabrics that invite touch, settle around the body,

and feel luxurious without demanding special treatment.

Living art has to be livable.

These pieces are not meant to be so precious that they remain untouched.

They are made to become familiar, to be reached for, to be used,

to become part of how you care for yourself.

Cloth remembers what hands have always known.

HOW THE WORK TAKES FORM

SOUL WRAPTURES

The pieces that began it all.

Soul Wraptures are created for comfort, rest, and sanctuary. Their weight, softness, and imagery create a feeling of being enveloped — a place where your body can soften and your nervous system can let go.

They are meant to be slept with, curled beneath, wrapped around the shoulders, and lived with over time. Many people describe them as the piece they reach for at the end of a difficult day. The one that signals to the body that it is safe to rest.

A sanctuary you can return to again and again.

BUBBE MEDICINE PILLOWS

Created to be held.

These pillows are companions as much as objects.

They are tucked beneath your arm while reading, gathered against your chest while resting, carried from chair to sofa, and reached for without thinking.

Softness, beauty, and comfort come together in a form that invites your body to lean in rather than brace against the world.

A place to land.

BUBBE MEDICINE BLANKETS
IMG_0873 (1)_edited.jpg

These blankets were created for comfort in its simplest form.

Soft, warm, close to the body, they carry the quiet tenderness of being cared for.

They are made to be used in the ordinary moments: pulled over your lap in a favorite chair, wrapped around your shoulders on a cool morning, folded at the foot of the bed, or kept nearby when you need something familiar and soft within reach.

They carry the same thread of memory, lineage, and comfort as the Bubbe pillows, but in a form that can cover, warm, and hold more of your body.

A quiet kind of holding.

SPIRIT MEDICINE PILLOWS

Created from the same impulse toward comfort and connection, these pieces carry a more elemental presence. Linen, raw edges, and imagery rooted in the natural world give them a quieter, earth-centered feeling while offering the same invitation to rest, soften, and receive support.

Closer to the earth. Equally meant to be held.

WEARABLE SANCTUARY

Some pieces are made to carry the feeling of being held beyond the chair, the sofa, and the bed.

Serapes, ponchos, poncho tops, and oversized wraps become a soft layer between yourself and the world —
something you can wear into the ordinary demands of daily life while staying connected to comfort, beauty, and yourself.

This collection is still taking form.
There are pieces in the studio that have not yet made their way here, and custom work may be available.
